My In-Flight Essentials.

So if you did not know, I have been on holiday to Portugal and even though its only a two hour flight, I wanted to tell you a few of my essentials I like to take on a plane!

Hand Sanitizer:
Hand sanitizer is an absolute must for me on planes, there are so many nasty germs and rather than having to disturb you neighbours you don't have to get up all of the time to go to the bathroom! Also its great for when you want to eat food on the plane as you don't have to worry about having dirty hands!

Moisturiser:
During flights your skin can become very dry and dehydrated due to the pressure so keeping it healthy is an absolute must! On a plane most of you will know that you can only take 100g or less so make sure you depot your moisturizer into a small tub which are available pretty much any where!

Face Wipes:
I am never the kind of person who uses face wipes on an everyday basis in fact, I barely use them at all. I find they really irritate and are quite rough on my skin, even if I go for the softer ones. However on a plane you do not want to be wearing any makeup so a quick and easy way to remove it is by using face wipes!

Water:
I realise you can't take drinks through security but you should be able to buy some afterwards. I find by having a drink of water helps my body to stay hydrated but it also makes me feel a lot more awake and just really refreshed. I prefer drinking just water on a plane rather than something like lemonade just because it helps me just feel a lot better!

A book:
I am currently reading Paper Towns by John Green and also The Glam Guide as a light read by Fleur De Force. I am absolutely loving both and everyone knows that flights are so boring and as something to entertain me a book is my best friend! I usually read a whole book whilst I'm on holiday so I make sure to bring a back up!

Headphones:
One of the most annoying things during a flight (excluding your seat being kicked) is having to listen to someone else's music or films so to prevent being that annoying people, bring headphones! Its so simple and can also block any other noise which may be around you such as other peoples music or babies crying!

My iPad or iPhone:
I love watching films on the plane and also listening to music as it makes the flight a little less boring! I usually take both and download a ton of games films and music to entertain me because there is no Wi-Fi, which really upsets me! Although make sure you remember to turn on Aeroplane mode before you start flying!

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream:
This cream is very popular in the world of YouTube and blogging and it is literally amazing! It can be used for both a lip balm or a hand cream and they are just so moisturizing and hydrating! My lips usually tend to get very dry and chapped and this cream just solves all of my problems and just make me feel so much better.

A Hair Brush/Ties/Bobby Pins:
There is probably nothing worse than getting off of a plane with your hair all over the place, tangled and just looking like a complete mess! I find by carrying these in my hand luggage is just so helpful and I have learnt from my mistakes from past trips so by carrying these just makes you look that bit more put together and more presentable.

Eye Mask/Ear Plugs:
My final essential is and eye mask as it just blocks out any light whatsoever and makes it so much easier to sleep. I also bring some ear plugs because they just block out any sound and they make it easier to sleep and relax as you can't hear the plane engines or parts. This is also great if you are a nervous flyer as it helps to relax you and feel a lot better!

So I hope that you enjoyed this post, I may not be able to post later on in the week as I may not have Wi-Fi but if I do I will make sure to upload!

What Is In My Travel Makeup Bag?

So, I am going to Portugal soon for a holiday and I am super excited! I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to go through what is in my travel make bag. I have got a feeling this is going to be a long post like last time so make sure to grab a cup of tea and I will begin!

So when I am on holiday, I don't really like to bring a ton of makeup as I can weigh me down and I don't really need it all. I like to keep myself to a limit and take only my absolute essentials. As you will notice for eye shadow and for lipstick I tend to take more than one shades because it can get a little boring doing the same makeup routine everyday and I like to experiment with the items I have!
I am not including my brushes.

Face:

Primer ~ Primer is an absolute essential for me as I absolutely love the feeling or a super soft base to work with. I really enjoy using the Benefit 'Pore Fessional' as I creates a smooth base, reduces (some) discolouration and also makes my makeup stay on for longer, which on the nights out I need!

Concealer ~ As a base I only use concealer because I want to keep my skin looking as natural as possible and even though a BB cream is natural, prefer to use just concealer on top of my primer. The concealer I will be taking is very well known and it is the Collection 'Lasting Perfection Concealer' in the shade 1 Fair as it gives the most amazing coverage ever which will help if you have any nasty sunburn! A lot of people say don't use this under your eyes as it may cake but I use it anyway and I really like the results I get from it.

Powder ~ I need powder in my life, especially when I am on holiday where it is very hot! I like to use powder as is means my makeup is going to stay in place all night and even if I sweat (gross) it will not budge! I really like to use the Rimmel 'Clear Complexion Powder' in the shade 021 Transparent. I like this concealer as it does not add any different colours to my skin which may make my skin tone look uneven. It does not make my makeup cake like the Stay Matte but simply sets it in place, reducing shine.

Contour, Highlight And Blush ~ The trio I will be taking is my Sleek Face form palette in the shade '372 Fair'. I absolutely love this trio as it has the most gorgeous shades ever and they are all beautiful for summer time. The trio comes with everything you need and a decent sized mirror which is perfect for on the go makeup and for travelling, not to mention the colours are super pigmented!

Eyes:

Eye Shadow ~ I will be taking my two Colour Tattoos by Maybelline in the shades 'On And On Bronze' and 'Pink Gold'. They are both stunning, everyday wear colours which can look so nice on their own! These are so easy to apply and you do not need a brush although I will take one to make sure that the colours are fully blended out!

Brows ~ I am taking a matte eye shadow by No7 to fill in my brows but I unfortunately do not know the shade of it. By using this it gives a natural brow look but makes them look that little bit better. I also like to set my brows in place using a clear mascara but you can also use a brow gel but I find they work pretty much the same way.

Mascara ~ I will be taking just one mascara along with my eyelash curlers as I don't really want to carry more makeup items than I actually need. I am going to bring my Collection 'No Clumps' mascara as I find it is just amazing and it creates a really fluttery look which obviously has no clumps!

Lips:

Lipstick ~ I will be taking two lipsticks and they are my MAC lipsticks in the shades, Flamingo and Chatterbox, I prefer flamingo for trips to the beach and chatterbox on the nights as it is a darker colour. I love both of these lipsticks and would recommend them to anyone and I will soon be doing a MAC lipstick collection in the next couple of weeks.

I hope you enjoyed this post, check back Friday for another holiday related post!

My Night Time Skincare Routine

So this is the second post to my skincare series and I thought I would do a night time edition skincare routine as it goes pretty much hand in hand with my morning routine which if you have not yet read I will link it here.

Step One - Remove Makeup:

So this is a step I can never miss on an everyday basis. I always feel as though my face isn't clean unless I know I have removed the majority of makeup off of my face! I tend to use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water on a cotton pad as I find that is the best way to apply it and by doing this it makes it much easier to wash my face without worrying mascara is dripping down my face!

Step 2 - Cleanse:

So of a night time I usually prefer to use a relaxing facial wash such as the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Cream Wash. It is very soft of the skin and it also gives a really nice cooling effect. It is extremely soft on the skin and it is also really gentle which is why I love it!

Step 3 - Tone:

I have to admit, I do forget to tone everyday but when I do I use the Simple Kind To Skin Facial Toner and I just take that on a cotton pad. I find when I use this it makes my skin feel extra soft and I find I don't get as many spots which is just amazing!

Step 4 - Moisturise:

So this is the final step in my everyday skincare and I tend to use the Nivea Soft Moisturising Crème. I enjoy using this because it sinks into my skin really nicely leaving my skin with a silky soft finish. It also leaves my skin feeling a lot more hydrated than what it would have done!

So I hope you enjoyed this second blog post of the 'Skin Care Series' make sure to check back next week for another skincare related post!

Blushing Hearts Review!

So I recently took a trip into Superdrug and decided to pick up the I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts Blusher in the shade 'Candy Queen Of Hearts'. This blush is my new favourite and I thought why not give you a short blog post on what I think about it!

So this blush retails at £4.99 and can only be found in selected Superdrug stores. It comes with three gorgeous pink shade which you can swirl together to create a beautiful shimmery blush colour! The colour is very natural on the cheeks and can probably be used as a highlighter due to how shimmery it actually is!

Many people have been talking about this blush especially, I have noticed, on Instagram. I love to colour pay off from this blush as it is so pigmented! I personally think that this blush is a must have this year especially during the summer months as it gives your cheeks, not only colour, but a healthy, radiant glow.

I also really love the packaging of this blush and I think that it is so photogenic! I realise that its the product that counts but you can't just ignore it as it is absolutely stunning! I really can't wait to use this and create so many different looks with it because I haven't really had much time to try it out yet!

My Morning Skincare Routine

So this is going to be my first post after getting back into blogging and I have decided to do a morning skincare routine! I am going to be uploading 5 skincare posts which will go up every Monday! I will not tell you what they will be but there are two more routines! But I can't wait to get back into this and make writing part of my day!

Skincare:

Step One - Wash Face

This is the most essential part to my day, cleansing my face as soon as I wake up really lifts my mood and makes me feel much more awake! In the mornings, particularly summer time, I like to go for a really energising and lifting facial wash and I tend to reach for the Clean And Clear Morning Energy Facial Wash. I think what I love most about this product is the scent, it is such a fresh and happy scent which just makes me feel really awakened! It also has tiny beads which add to the awakening effect as well!

Step Two - Tone

So I must admit I do not tone every single day as I often do forget but when I do I like to use the Simple Kind To Skin Pore Minimising Facial Toner (very long name) and I like to apply this using a cotton pad! This just really helps get rid of any pores or spots on my face more quickly than they naturally would! Toning I find, is very refreshing and I tend to do it on a weekend rather than a week day but it is one of my favourite steps in my routine as I love the feel of it and the outcome of my skin afterwards!

Step Three - Moisturise

So this is my final step in my routine, whether that is surprising or not I don't know, but I always love to finish my skincare with a moisturiser which really helps my skin and preps it for any makeup I will be wearing throughout the day! I personally like to use the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit moisturiser as it smells heavenly! It also does wonders for my skin and leaves it feeling especially soft and super hydrated which are the two main things I look for in a moisturiser! I love the whole Pink Grapefruit range by Neutrogena as pink grapefruit is one of my favourite scents and I do actually own more products from that range!

So I really hope you enjoyed this post, make sure you comment you skincare essentials and hit that follow button because that would make my day!

I'm Back!

So some of you may have realised I have not been uploading any blog posts recently and that I have been on Instagram but just not blogger or Bloglovin. Its because I needed to take a break from blogging as I had a lot of other things on my mind and I was quite busy!
I am finally ready to start blogging again and I am looking to make my blog better than ever for all of you, so I am pre-writing a few blog posts ready for the week and I should be back into the routine of blogging!
I am sorry for my absence but I will be uploading soon and I know that this post is not really apart of what I write about but I just wanted to let you all know my plans!
Thank you all for reading this quick post and I will see you in my next one!
